3D Printed
MEDUSSA®-PL is a next-generation posterior interbody fusion cage manufactured using EBM (Electron Beam Melting) 3D printing technology.
Constructed entirely from titanium alloy powder, its high-porosity architecture mimics the trabecular structure of bone — promoting vascular ingrowth, accelerating osseointegration, and delivering superior primary stability across PLIF, TLIF, ALIF, and DLIF applications.
Manufactured via Electron Beam Melting (EBM), MEDUSSA®-PL is built layer by layer from titanium alloy powder — enabling complex internal geometries impossible to achieve with conventional machining.
The porous titanium structure of MEDUSSA®-PL provides high-volume interconnected porosity that closely mimics cancellous bone — facilitating vascular invasion and bone cell migration essential for solid, durable fusion.
The high coefficient of friction inherent to the 3D-printed porous surface resists migration immediately upon implantation — delivering reliable primary stability while biological integration progresses.
Available in straight and lordotic configurations at 0°, 4°, 8°, 12°, 14°, 16°, and 18° — providing surgeons with precise sagittal alignment control across a broad range of patient presentations.
Heights from 6mm to 16mm and lengths from 22mm to 42mm (22, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42mm) offer one of the widest size matrices in the Medyssey cage portfolio — ensuring an optimal fit for every patient.
MEDUSSA®-PL supports PLIF, TLIF, ALIF, and DLIF surgical approaches — a single implant system adaptable to the surgeon's preferred technique and the patient's anatomy.
