Seoul, Korea — Medyssey recently hosted a clinical lecture by Dr. Hyun-Gwi Kang of the National Cancer Center, Chairman of the Korean Society for 3D Printing in Medicine, focusing on the evolving role of patient-specific 3D-printed implants in complex bone reconstruction.
Titled “3D-Printed Bone Reconstruction Surgery: Carrying Hope for Patients,” the session explored clinical experience with Medyssey’s patient-specific 3D-printed MCB implant, including surgical outcomes and considerations arising directly from patient care.
Beyond the clinical presentation, Dr. Kang shared technical feedback on the MCB platform and discussed ongoing collaborative development of customized implants for patients requiring bone resection and reconstruction.
The exchange offered a perspective that is increasingly relevant to the next generation of medical devices: patient anatomy is not simply a clinical variable, but a design parameter.
